DETOUR BISON
Posted by Cory Hawryluk onThough the northern entrances to Yellowstone Park remain closed for repair, most of the Park’s 3500 square miles are open for business. Among the many incredible sights of Yellowstone are its iconic bison. Cruise along any of the main Park roads and you will see them – often in the distance but sometimes closer to the road. And because you are on a main road, you’ll likely be enjoying the view with 20 car-loads of your closest friends – lined up on the shoulder, snapping away. Cool, if that’s your thing. Or, you can take a detour. Pick any road that branches from the main and you’ll likely have it all to yourself. With a little patience and persistence, you’ll find bison out there all by their lonesome … waiting just for you.
